  • The anti-reunification policy

he South. Clearly that is something the Kim dynasty cannot allow. So…two enemy countries, and no reunification.

I may be wrong, but I think perhaps for the majority of South Koreans the dream of reunification has receded over the years anyway. Why bother? They're doing fine, and the costs of reunification would be absolutely horrendous – never mind that China would probably intervene before that could happen, should there be a threat to the Kim dynasty.

  • Inappropriate resources to schools

e to 11-year-olds, said that children are “assigned” a sex at birth by a doctor and compared identity to a recipe for baking a cake. Olly Pike, chief executive of the company, said: “When the people in power won’t see LGBT+ people for who we are, it can make us feel helpless. However, we also have power and we can make a difference with our actions. We are delighted to donate our books to these primary schools ahead of Pride Month.”

Resources on Pop‘n’Olly’s website include a “scenarios” activity — which it said was aimed at upper Key Stage Two pupils aged nine to 11-years-old — featuring statements from cartoon children. One child’s statement said: “I don’t feel like I’m a boy or a girl, but people keep asking me which I am.”

Under each statement, pupils are asked if the scenario is OK and how they think the child feels. Another child, named Fabio, said: “I love painting my nails, but a few people make fun of me at school for doing it.” A third, named Donna, said: “I love my short hair and I like wearing boys’ clothes. I’m good at football so the boys are happy to play with me, but some of the girls keep talking about how I don’t fit in.”

These people are idiots…dangerous idiots. They've turned the problem on its head. When children find they don't fit the gender stereotypes, the solution is to challenge the stereotypes, not to mutilate the children to fit the stereotypes. Everyone kinew this a few years back.

For an in-depth look at Pop'n'Olly, see this Transgender Trend piece from a couple of years back:

Without spelling it out this is the ‘born in the wrong body’ narrative, in which denying your sex is explained as being part of dress up, clothes and hairstyles. Children taught this harmful nonsense in primary school will take these ideas into secondary school and their experience of puberty, where the possibility of doing damage to their bodies and mental health increases vastly. It will be the girls who are most at risk of interpreting the normal angst of adolescence as being trans….

Pop’n’Olly materials are best described as adultification, an activity which normalises adult sexualities and niche ‘gender’ identities, and invites children to join in the discussion. Few schools are likely to say yes if an outside body offers to teach their seven-year-olds queer theory and about being transsexual. Yet this is what they will be doing if they use Pop’n’Olly resources or accept their free books.

  • Democratic and Labour politicians, and rakes

t Labour would make it easier for people to change gender. Because no problems have emerged from making it easy for people to change gender. Other than in the NHS, sport, schools, prisons, workplaces and everywhere else.

Gender ideologues try to dismiss feminists — who argue there are major biological differences between men and women — by describing them as “right-wing”. It is true most politicians on the right tend to understand the existence of biological sex. They also probably accept the existence of gravity. That so many on the left would — still! — rather jettison women’s rights than state the well-established obvious reflects badly only on them, and it has left a lot of women politically homeless, stuck between anti-abortion homophobes on one side and biology-denying, rapist-pandering cultists on the other.

So please, Democratic and Labour politicians, can you stop making the worst Republicans seem like the only grown-ups in the room, simply for knowing that two plus two does not equal a unicorn? Or have you smacked yourself with so many rakes you’ve given yourself a permanent concussion?

  • Nurses forced to share a women’s changing room with a transgender colleague

ction after 26 female hospital nurses protested about being forced to share a women's changing room with a transgender colleague who is biologically male.

The women complained that the transgender nurse – who has not had gender reassignment surgery – had taken a 'keen interest' in female staff when they were getting undressed.

They say they have found the situation 'intimidating and upsetting'.

In a formal complaint, the nurses say they were stunned after the 'sexually active' trans nurse admitted to trying for a baby with a female partner and had stopped taking female hormones.

But a human resources manager at the hospital trust allegedly said that the female nurses need to 'be more inclusive', 'broaden their mindset' and 'be educated and attend training'.

Oh boy. There's always some idiot jobsworth happy to churn out the old Stonewall mantras.

  • “We want no Zionists here”

adding-left: 40px”>I asked if they could keep the posters up, saying that they were compliant with school rules and allowed to be there.

The person looked back at me, completely calm. They refused and said that the hanging of the posters tried to justify the genocide of Palestinians.

I said that I didn’t put the posters up but that these hostages are innocent victims.

They were already nearly done taking the posters down. “They’re settlers,” they said, and walked away.

I tried to think of something, anything, to say to express the pain in my heart in that moment. But I couldn’t say anything. I just couldn’t.

    Sabrina Soffer, George Washington University:

It all began with pervasive rhetoric in classrooms, online platforms, and public spaces. Soon, our campus was littered with posters and electronic graffiti bearing hateful messages: “Zionists fck off,” “Settlers, fck off,” “Free Palestine from the River to the Sea,” “Glory to our martyrs”—thinly veiled calls for the destruction of Israel and the celebration of mass murder. Then came demonstrations echoing deliberate calls for violence: “There is only one solution, intifada revolution!” Sometimes protesters would add that this is “the final solution.”

Today, my friends and I find ourselves physically excluded from a so-called “liberated zone” on campus: an encampment exclusively for those who disavow the idea of a Jewish homeland. Self-proclaimed social justice warriors have cornered and spit on us, followed us around with cameras, and threatened to kick us off campus. When they say, “We want no Zionists here,” they really mean it.

  • The BBC “vigil”

ian protest as a ‘vigil’ is utterly sickening.

“The protest aimed to disrupt and delay the screening of a documentary about a massacre of innocent young people at a music festival. The BBC’s anti-Israel bias is more and more evident with every day that passes.”

Nicole Lampert, a journalist, wrote: “Could BBC News have got this more wrong? Every day I am more and more furious about their horrendous bias.

“Pro-Palestine supporters weren’t trying to hold a ‘vigil’.

“They were trying to stop people seeing a film about the massacre of the Nova festival. They had earlier daubed the cinema in blood-red paint and called the documentary ‘artwashing’.

“Jews and allies showed them enough is enough: we are mourning but our spirit and love of life cannot be dimmed.”

Laura Cellier, who hosts Middle East Now on the Tel Aviv-based television channel i24News, posted on X, formerly Twitter: “A vigil? They came to intimidate people. They were trying to stop people from seeing a film about Hamas atrocities. What is wrong with the BBC?”

A message distributed to the activists before the demonstration, that was also posted online, referred to the screening as “artwashing” and said: “Join us outside Phoenix cinema in protest of the Israeli Government-sponsored film festival, Seret.

“Bring noise. Drums, bells, pots and pans, whistles, rice bottles.”

A vigil, but not as we know it.
