Speaking of the enjoyment he derived from welding the scrap metal, he said: “I love getting stripped to my waist. I love putting on a visor and letting all the sparks fly with a great big welding torch. Then going off for a big breakfast with a handyman. It’s undeniably a macho thing.”
I’m not sure macho is the word we’re looking for here.
