We Should Practice Islam Fully

Theocracy with a vengeance:

Residents of a southern Somalia town who do not pray five times a day will be beheaded, an Islamic courts official said Wednesday, adding the edict will be implemented in three days.

Public places such as shops and tea houses in Bulo Burto, about 124 miles northeast of the capital, Mogadishu, should be closed during prayer time and no one should be on the streets, said Sheik Hussein Barre Rage, the chairman of the town’s Islamic court.

Those who do not follow this edict “will definitely be beheaded according to Islamic law,” Rage told The Associated Press by phone. “As Muslims, we should practice Islam fully, not in part, and that is what our religion enjoins us to do.”

Great name, Sheikh Rage…

    Well, that’s pretty much the same as what Pat Robertson does, isn’t it? Except for the beheading, I mean, or really, OK, except for the concept of, like, punishing anybody at all for not being religious. But the sense of disapproval, of people who aren’t religious, it’s exactly the same. You can see that it must be the same exact climate of fear there, as there is in like places in the deep south like Iowa or whatever and stuff. I mean, this, it’s totally a carbon copy of Bush’s America. I mean this old lady looked at me the other day and you could totally tell she was like all religious and it was, like, it felt like being beheaded, totally.
