ing to the student reporters.

The reporters uncovered their first clue when they read the entry for the Duke of Cleveland on Wikipedia, an online encyclopedia that takes submissions from readers. The entry was written by Joshua Gardner, a name that also turned up on the National Sex Offender Public Registry.

On the ball as always, here are the Wikipedia entries for the Duke of Cleveland, and Joshua Gardner.

There is a clarification in the Wikipedia entry, the “Duke of Cleaveland” entry was not made up by Gardner as it is a real entry, but he did edit (presumably to put his own alias in it) and it was rolled back repeatedly.
Also, he (stupidly) put his real name in the entry, as all submissions are by anonymous IP address.

Bet he’s kicking himself now for talking to those meddling kids. If it’d been real journalists, he’d’ve been safe.

“the castle Falkland, which does not exist and which he spelled wrong.” Eh?
(P.S. The lovely Falkland Palace is on the site of the former Falkland Castle.)
